The Remix: Maxi Dress

Greetings,

and Happy Monday Loves!  So today, I am once again doing a little remixing with my clothes.  As I have been looking through my closet lately, I have noticed that I do  not own but one maxi skirt and one maxi dress.  Maxi's are very low key clothing items that can be dressed up or down depending on where you are wearing it too.  For those days that I want to be cute, but comfy, a maxi is generally what I would choose.  I previously owned several maxi dresses and skirts and I honestly cannot tell you what happen to them.  Anywho, I was searching for something easy and carefree to wear for church on yesterday and thinking "I don't have anything to wear"....LIESSSSSS right?? LOL.  So I decided to take a maxi dress that I own and wear it as a skirt.  I simply folded the top part of the dress in, threw on a simple top and belted the waist and a "new" maxi skirt was born.  Hope you guys enjoy this look!!

My ChicBeauty: Soft Fall Glam

Greetings Beauties,

Am I the only one excited for Fall???  I am just so over this heat and humidity and to be quite honest, summer has never really been my favorite season.  The only time I was excited for summer is when I was in grade school because of summer break.  As an adult, they can have it....lol.  With Fall knocking at our front door, I am especially excited for the Fall styles and makeup looks.  This look below is a simple soft fall appropriate look that I wore on yesterday to church.  This look consist of golds, reds and browns that definitely scream FALL.

For my eye look, I used the BH Cosmetics 28 Neutrals palette.  This is a great inexpensive palette that consist of soft, shimmery, and matte colors.
Lashes are the Kiss Ever EZ lashes in the #03.  To fill in my brows, I used the Milani Stay Put Brow in Dark Brown.  This is a GREAT brow pomade for only $4.99.  Quite similar to the Anastasia Dip Brow pomade.
Foundation: L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte  Foundation Crème Café.  Highlight and Contour using the Black Opal Crème Stick Foundations in Kalahari Sand and Beautiful Bronze.

Now, to my favorite part to any makeup look.....the LIPSTICK!  I am such a lipstick fanatic and I truly have a problem HOWEVER,  a lot of the lipsticks I love are drugstore brands, therefore, I don't spend a lot of money.  On the other hand, I could manage without buying lipstick for an entire year.  Torture right???? LOL.  Anyway this particular lipstick is from my local beauty supply store.  It is from the brand Absolute New York, which is one I never seen before.  It is a matte lipstick in the color Bulgarian Rose. Out Of all of the red lipsticks I own, I don't have one of this color or even similar.  This color is more brick-toned in which I absolutely love and think is so Fall-like.  It gives the right amount of red for those who want a red lip but that's not too over powering.  I definitely recommend trying it out.

Well, I hope you guys like this look and thanks so much for stopping by..!!
