Cozy in Camo!

Hello chicas,

Are you ready for Thanksgiving as much as I am??  I am soooo ready!  I am looking forward to the time off to rest, enjoy family, and my most favorite thing to do, EAT!   I just cannot believe that the holidays are here already.   Where did the year go?????  Oh well, its here and I need to get busy with the shopping. Anywhoooo,  Saturday was a very low key day for me.  It was quite cool and gloomy all day.  I needed to run a few errands so of course I had to be warm and comfy.  It was the perfect time to pull out my camouflage cardigan.  Camouflage is trending quite heavily this season so this cardigan really gives such a girly touch to an otherwise tough military edge. Hope you enjoy!

All Black NOT Everything...

Happy, Happy Tuesday,

Soooo.....straight into this outfit, well, today I needed something that was easy to pull from the closet and keep it moving.  Since black is one of those staples that is easy to throw on and style without too much effort, I said why not!  I didn't want to just go with all black, so I scrambled through my accessories to find the perfect pop to this all black ensemble.  I first started with jewelry and out of my massive jewelry collection, I could not find that right piece that would give some life to this otherwise dead black.  That's when I came across this scarf that was hiding in my closet.  The vibrant colors of this scarf instantly gave this outfit character.  I threw on this leather jacket for a touch of edginess.

Salute!

Happy Tuesday Chicas,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  My weekend was very relaxing and low key, nothing exciting.  I was also off on Veteran's Day, and speaking of Veteran's Day, I would first like to once again thank the many men & women who serve and protect our country.  Please know that you are always appreciated and thought of.  And to pay homage to our veterans, I thought it was befitting to wear this camo jacket while running errands on yesterday.  As all of you already know, the military look is one of the many awesome trends this season and when I stumbled upon this jacket in my local thrift store, it was a no-brainer that I was going to purchase it.  I will say it is a little out of the box for me, but style is all about taking risk right???

What I like most about this jacket is the "non-traditional" camouflage appeal.  It has more of an Aztec print, so in my book this jacket just worked all around for me.

This bag is my absolute favorite!

Will you be rocking the military trend this season?

Beauty Beat - November Julep Box

Hello Beauties,

I wanted to share with you the goodies I received in my November Julep Maven box. So what is a Julep Maven box?  Julep is a subscription based beauty program that sends $40 worth of nail polishes and other beauty related products for $19.99/mo.  During the initial sign up, you are given a personality quiz that is used to set up your style profile.  Using your personal style profile, Julep hand picks trendsetting nail colors and beauty products and delivers right to your door.  Before your box is sent, you will receive an email giving the specifics of what's inside.  If you are not interested in the items in your box, you can change your profile, send to a friend as a gift, or skip the month entirely. Another great aspect of Julep is you get 20% off all their products. And you can earn Julep Jules for referring friends. These points can be used toward your boxes, upgrades or special products. You can help a girl out by telling them I referred you.... :)  If you choose to skip, you must do so on or before the 24th of the month preceding. I honestly planned to skip this month, but I forgot, however, I am satisfied with the items I received.

This month's box included:
                    Julep Nail Color in "Shelia"
                    Julep Nail Color in" Cynthia"
                    Julep Lipgloss in "Glowing"
Sample of Julep's  Lux Repair Skin Serum

My actual style profile "Classic with a Twist".
Overall, Julep is a great way to collect trendy nail polishes for the low-low if you are a nail polish lover like myself.  Not that I need even one more nail polish to add to my stockpile, but I realize I have a problem and plan to see a therapist....lol
If you are interested in becoming a Julep Maven, please click here for more details. If you are already a subscriber, What are your thoughts on this month's box?

As always, thanks for stopping by !!!!

Tribe & True!

Happy Sunday Chicas,

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend!  The weather was absolutely gorgeous in Alabama this weekend and I surely had a chance to get out and enjoy it.  On Saturday morning, my son had his last football game of the season. It has been so much fun and hilarious, might I add,  watching 6 and 7 year old boys play football.  I can't wait until next season!  After the game, the team had a pizza party and trophy ceremony. We ended the day with attending a local arts & craft festival, which was nothing more than walking and viewing the uniquely made items and a trip to the mall.  Unfortunately, the work week is upon us, unless you are among the wealthy or hit the lottery this weekend then you don't have to worry.  However, that is not my reality so I will be hitting the horn on tomorrow...lol.  Enough rambling and on to today's out fit.  Lately, I have been loving a lot of different prints.  I have always liked animal prints, but all the different tribal/aztec prints wasn't ever my cup of tea.  So as I was strolling the isles of TJ Maxx, I came across this aztec printed pencil skirt.  I literally picked this skirt up and put it down at least four times.  Next, I found myself in the dressing room trying it on.  The fit was perfect and the print looked great on me.   I still wasn't too convinced that I wanted it, but I thought what the heck, $14 is not that bad.  And now, I have falling in love!   I have worn this skirt before semi-casually but today I decided to dress it up a bit for church by pairing it with a blazer and minimum accessories.
