Bold Piece: Baublebar Inspired

Happy Thursday,
Hoping everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, spending time with your love ones.  Truly everyday is a Thanksgiving for me.  Just to be alive, in good health and having another chance at life.   In today's post I wanted to feature my Baublebar inspired necklace.  Baublebar is known for its fashionable, unique bold pieces that instantly adds glam to any outfit.  I have had my eye on the Amazon Medallion Bib Necklace on their website, but it is always sold out.  While browsing Forever 21's website, I came across this bold Aztec/tribal necklace similar to the one I have been dying to snag from Baublebar.  Soooo, I went ahead and grabbed this one and for a fraction of the cost.  Now this is not to say that I will not purchase the one or any others from Baublebar because they have such AMAZING pieces, but this one will do for now! ;)

This is the Amazon Medallion Bib necklace from Baublebar.  Absolutely love it!  The necklace retails for $36, which is a great price for such a beautiful piece.

Sparkling Wine

Happy Monday Loves,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I have really been in to the wines, burgundy, oxbloods or whatever you want to call it lately.  The color has been dominating the fashion scene during the fall and winter seasons for a while now whether its clothing, accessories or makeup.  Because I love the color so much anyway, it was a no brainer that I would incorporate it into my Fall wardrobe.
I recently purchased this knit vest via an online thrift online thrift store!! I am not sure how I came across the website but it will definitely not be the last time.  The website is called  It has a variety of items to choose from high end brands to the more budget friendly brands of clothing, jewelry, accessories, etc.  What was also so great about this website is if you sign up and make your first purchase, you will receive a $15 credit.   Well, that was right up my alley!!! The price of this vest was only $15 so it only cost me $5 bucks for shipping. YAYYYY!!!
The braided detail is what I love the most about this vest and lets not forget the sparkle.........:)

Hello Ladies & Gents,
Plaid is by far one of the essential Fall must haves that I really didn't care much for until last season.  When I thought of plaid, I thought of the old farmer in the red, white, and black plaid shirt tucked in overalls.  Well, when I saw the different colors and styles of plaid, I wanted to start incorporating it some how into my wardrobe. So glad I did!!! This was my casual work look on Friday. Hope you enjoy!!

Please excuse the picture quality.  The glare and the dirty lenses decided that they wanted to come together and make a

Fashion Cadet

I cannot believe we are approaching the end of the year already.  It may sound cliché, but literally, where did the year go???  Holiday shopping is  about to be in full swing, the stores will be a mess, and lets not talk about the traffic.  Overall, I do enjoy the excitement of it all during the holidays. Anyway, so the title of this post was all because of my son and husband.  As I was getting dressed this morning, my 7 year old said that I looked like a "little police lady"  Then, my husband said I looked like I was in the Air Force.  Since the both of them obviously thought I looked good in "uniform", I just had to go with it. If I was apart of the armed forces, I would definitely look like this if I  Hope you enjoy!!

I really love this skirt, however, I hate that it rises up and I constantly keep having to  pull it down.

Sorry for the peek-a-boo action.  I promise I didn't realize it until after the fact!!!
Whew buddy, she is a thick-um....I must do some walking or better yet

Happy Halloween!

Since today is Halloween, I thought I will share with you my makeup look I created for a Halloween themed novelty party.  A friend of mine who hosted the party wanted everyone to dress up as a witch.  I didn't want to go for the traditional grungy witch, therefore, I opted for the sexy cocktail witch.  Hope you like this look!
Have a safe and enjoyable Halloween!

Lost in Leopard

Happy Thursday Loves,

Today's post is a look that I planned to have up about a month ago, but I could not find where the pictures downloaded for the life of me.  Oh well, its better late than never right.  Anywho, this was my look for church one Sunday on one of those hot Fall days where I was able to get away with bare arms.  Leopard pieces are the new neutrals.  It just adds some umph to any outfit and it goes with just about everything.  Hope you enjoy the look!

Work Chic - Peplum & Prints

Happy Thursday,
This post have been long over due ( or should I say this top) because I always intend to blog about it, but can't seem to ever get to it.  I found this printed peplum in Ross during the summer and I absolutely love it.  The colors are so fun and of course peplum is always flirty & girly! To make this look work appropriate, I paired it with a blazer and minimum accessories.  Fun prints can be worn in the workplace as long as you know how to tone it down, at least in my opinion...:).  Hope you enjoy!!!
